Performance My body, this paper, this fire with Pedro Barateiro and Francisco Rolo.
My body, this paper, this fire is a performance that takes as its starting point a specific event in the recent history of Portugal, the student demonstration on 24 November 1994, in front of the Portuguese Parliament. The demonstration was one of the most violent after the fall of the fascist regime, and brought together around 1,000 students who oppose the rise in the value of tuition fees in public schools. Due to police brutality, a week later, 20,000 students demonstrated across the country.
