Pied-de-Poule
Pied-de-Poule
Pied-de-poule is a series of paintings, betraying an assumedly militant and staunch formalism, and then also a shadowy hint of something grotesque, or of unfathomable sub-bass. Immediately present, simultaneously intemporal and urgent, they exude immanent dread. Are they a refusal to fit into this context we live in, or actually a response to the nausea it stirs in us?
