Outro is the most recent solo show by Fernão Cruz (Lisbon, 1995) at Rialto6.
The exhibition takes place on the first floor of the artspace and it includes paintings made with ash, as well as sculptures in bronze, epoxy resin and used clothes.
The work presented focuses on issues such as the decomposition of the human body, ambivalence in decision-making, the materialization of emptiness and the construction of a dreamlike and meta-domestic environment where existentialism and loneliness take shape.
Transforming everyday and commonly used objects, as well as our perceptions of them, the artist appropriates and gives them a new meaning in space.
The show features an essay by Thomas Ellmer.
